アメリカ人アーティスト、アレックス・カッツ（Alex Katz）と、その息子で詩人のヴィンセント・カッツ（Vincent Katz）による作品集。イタリア人アーティストであるエンツォ・クッキ（Enzo Cucchi）が編集を手がける本書は、アレックス・カッツのドローイングに加え、ヴィンセント・カッツによる文章を収録しています。

妻エイダのポートレートや、身体のスケッチ、少ない要素で描かれた遠景など、本書に収録されるドローイングは全て、ペインティングのためのスケッチや習作をリソグラフでプリントしたもの。差し込まれた2つの小さなページでは、表は木版印刷によって父子2人のカッツのポートレートがプリントされ、裏にはエンツォ・クッキに捧げた1作を含むヴィンセント・カッツによる2編の詩が収録されています。

This publication, edited by Enzo Cucchi, gathers drawings by Alex Katz and words by his son Vincent. It is a project that takes shape through the intimate relationship between the three subjects.

All the drawings from this publication are risograph printings of both original sketches for paintings and the artist's exercises. Two smaller inserts present, on the front, woodcuts showing portraits of two Katz, father and son, conceived by Enzo Cucchi, and on the back two poems by Vincent Katz, one of which is dedicated to Enzo Cucchi.
